Our credit union is constantly partnering with individuals and organizations to support educators and the education community. Through a matching partnership with, credit union members helped more than 17,000 students in Washington. Over $73,000 was given back directly to students and teachers across the state through in 2015. We work with schools to design programs that channel charitable dollars to members’ own education communities. In Spokane, for example, classrooms and programs benefited from a 1% auto loan giveback, in which borrowers named schools to receive rebates. Our members gave more than $14,000 to Spokane-area schools during the summer of 2015. By supporting the Stories of Arrival program at Tukwila School District’s Foster High School, we help give students new to the United States a way to build language skills through poetry while honoring their heritage. We’re a public drop-off site for Weekend SnackPack programs benefitting schools statewide, providing weekend food for students who rely on school-provided meals during the week.
